How to Play Chess

Before you start the chess game, check whether the right hand corner square of the board is a white square.

Always remember that at the beginning, the white queen is on a white square and the black queen is on a black square.

In Chess, the player with the white pieces always moves first.

Then black makes his first move and the game proceeds with the players moving alternately.

No player may move twice in succession or pass his move. Piece captures are not compulsory.
